Decimal odds are the total return per unit staked, stake included: 2.75 returns 2.75 for every 1 staked, so the profit is 1.75.

Fractional odds quote the profit against the stake, so 2.75 decimal is 7/4. American odds quote the profit on a 100 stake for an underdog, or the stake needed to win 100 for a favourite, which is why 2.00 is the pivot between +100 and -100.

Implied probability is 1 divided by the decimal price. It is the number worth arguing with: if you think the real chance is higher than the price implies, the bet has positive expected value. Add up the implied probabilities of every outcome in a market and the total will exceed 100%. That excess is the bookmaker's margin.
